Spotlight On – Ross Testa, Founder of 3 Heads Agency

Ross Testa is the Founder of 3 Heads Agency, a family-run agency specialising in content creation, social media management and advertising, podcast production and personal branding.

He is passionate about helping businesses reach their true potential through building their brand and helping them to reach a new audience.

1. Tell us a little bit about your business…

As a business, we understand that business owners need to focus on what they do best, which is running their business. They don’t often have the time or level of digital marketing knowledge that’s necessary to really make their company stand out which is where we come in.

Our team of experts in their field, who have grown up and worked around digital media all their lives, are here to provide content creation, social media management, social media advertising, podcast production and personal branding depending on what it is that our clients require.

Ross and the team have everything that their clients need to generate brand awareness, leads and sales for themselves or their business and will ensure that they reach new audiences whether that’s through amazing video, podcasts, or a brilliant social media strategy.

They work with some of the biggest brands and personalities in the country to help them achieve their objectives, from Lego to Just Eat and Silverstone to Volvo but also help support local restaurants and businesses who might help.

2. How did you get into the industry?

During upper school, Ross’ friend was diagnosed with Leukaemia and having seen how much he was struggling, Ross wanted to help out in any way that he could. He decided to start doing some fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust and in just under a week, had raised just under £5000. Ross received support from a lot of business and celebrities which was when he knew this was what he wanted to do as a career. He approached several businesses, offering to create content for their social media and when one, a barber’s shop, got back to me, Ross had his first client.

Ross launched 3 Heads Agency whilst at school but wasn’t ready to commit to working on the business full time and so decided to go to university where he studied Business Management, running the agency alongside studying. He took on a full time job with Microsoft which he had applied for in his first year and while he waited to hear back from them, his business really started to grow.

In Ross’ final year of university, he decided it was time to focus on my business and his degree which is when things really started to progress. He got his first big break in 2018 when at 21, he was asked to produce a video for one of Lord Sugar’s businesses and since then the business has gone on to brilliant things that he’s incredibly proud of.

3. What are the biggest opportunities and challenges in your industry?

The marketing industry presents several opportunities and challenges but here are some that Ross say will be key to the performance of his agency this year:

The ongoing digital transformation continues to reshape the marketing industry and Ross is enjoying embracing emerging technologies including AI which are opening up new avenues for engaging consumers.

Collaborating with influencers and leveraging their reach and influence has become a popular marketing tactic which Ross has been enjoying using for a variety of his clients. Ross says that identifying the right influencers and developing authentic partnerships can help brands reach and connect with their target audiences effectively.

The rise of ad-blockers and the proliferation of ads across platforms have led to ad fatigue among consumers. Ross says it’s been important that himself and his team find innovative ways to break through the noise and create meaningful experiences that resonate with their audience.

The rapid pace of technological advancements requires marketers to acquire new skills and knowledge continuously and so Ross says that it’s been crucial for his team to stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies.

Ross says that the opportunities and challenges are what make the industry so exciting whilst motivating those within to stay agile, innovative and customer centric in their approach.
